Kapiti Island
For an unforgettable experience, why not consider holding your conference or team building event in the jewel of the Wellington’s Kapiti Coast!
A day at the lodge on Kapiti Island is surprisingly affordable and includes:
- an introductory briefing/talk
- lunch
- use of lodge facilities for conference
- a one-hour guided walk
- local council permit and ferry transport.
If you have special dietary requirements these can be catered for (Please advise when making a reservation).
It is also possible to stay at the lodge in modern twin share or quad share accommodation. Our Kapiti Lodge package includes:
- all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- an introductory briefing/talk
- local council permit
- use of lodge facilities for conference
- a guided Kiwi spotting walk at night.
If you have special dietary requirements these can be catered for (Please advise when making a reservation).
If you intend visiting the DOC nature reserve (half way along the island) during your stay, we will arrange the necessary permit for the Nature Reserve as well as for the Crown Land at the North End (where the lodge is located). The ferry can take you to the Nature Reserve on your first day at 9am. You will be picked up from the Nature Reserve at 3pm and dropped off to our lodge at the North end where you will stay until either the following morning or afternoon (whichever you prefer). We recommend this as a great way to really enjoy the “complete” Kapiti experience.
The ferry ride to Kapiti Island is approximately 15 minutes. The ferry departs from Paraparaumu beach at approximately 9 am or 2:45 pm and leaves Kapiti at approximately 9:15 am or 3:00 pm.
Carolyn J Limited can arrange Kapiti Conferences and take care of all necessary DOC permits and documentations. Contact Carolyn for further information and costs.
